What is your testimony?
I have only ever attended Barrs Mill. I was in middle school when I gave my heart to the Lord down at 'the old church.' Growing up, I used to feel bad that I didn't have a great deliverance testimony. God never brought me out of alcoholism, drugs, or even smoking. Looking back, I now praise Him because He kept me away from those things! I had praying parents who made me attend church regularly and kept a watchful eye on where I went and whom I was with. Now as a parent myself, I pray that God gives me wisdom in guiding my own children and setting an example for them.

What is your testimony?
I grew up conservative Mennonite in Hartville, Ohio. I was #9 from a family of 10 children. My father passed away when I was 13. Mom tried her best to raise us three youngest ones and to stay in the church. Even though I accepted the Lord as my Savior when I was a teenager, I had wandered away from my faith. At the age of 18, I became a single mother. I owe my sister Sara a great debt for taking me in at that time.
In 1982, I met my husband Don at the Dundee junkyard. While our boys were little, we "played church" for a while, but were never disciplined in raising our boys in a good Godly church. Along came grandchildren and in my heart I knew that if I didn't get them into a Godly church, they would probably never come to know Jesus. When my two grandsons were very young, a friend invited me to Barrs Mill Church of God.
Since coming to Barrs Mill in 2003, I have rededicated my life to Jesus and am so blessed to be able to serve Him through the Harbor of Hope food ministry. When my father passed away in 1975, we were on the receiving end of food assistance and now, through Harbor of Hope, I am able to pay it forward.

What is your testimony?
I was raised in a family that was very active with the church. My parents taught us that serving was part of your giving to the church. When Don and I got saved (gave our hearts and lives to the Lord) we started working in the church. We have had many wonderful experiences with the youth of this church. At a young age my mother had me helping with the ladies group - which I now love to continue doing here at Barrs Mill. One of my greatest blessings is watching my children continue to give to the Lord and step up and serve Him at Barrs Mill. You can never out give the Lord.

What is your testimony?
I was raised in a Christian home, I attended a Christian college and would have told you I was a Christian. But in actuality, I was only going to church on Sunday. The rest of the week, I was living for the world. In 1987, I became a member of a Church of God congregation (when Steve and I married) and began to realize that I needed to truly commit to God. I began to get serious about Christianity. In the late 90's, I felt the call to full-time ministry and began the ordination process. God has placed on my heart the desire that other "Christians" take Him seriously also and truly commit 100% to Him.

What is your testimony?
I was raised to be a good person. It made sense (at the time) to just be a good person and that was what I should strive for. I had the worldy view that being a good person equaled going to heaven. After reading and studying the Bible, I came to realize that there was so much more. Giving my life to Jesus was the answer and it has brought so much to my life. Worries and concerns are gone. A clear direction for my life has taken their place.
